Astia 100F was the softest and most neutral of Fujifilm's E-6 slide films — the low-contrast, accurate-skin-tone counterpart to punchy Velvia and balanced Provia. Discontinued in 2013, it remains prized by studio and portrait shooters who wanted transparency quality without harsh contrast.

Where Velvia shouts, Astia whispers: muted, faithful colour, very smooth tonal gradation and beautifully natural skin tones, all on ultra-fine grain. Its lower contrast gave it more shadow and highlight breathing room than most slide films, making it forgiving under studio strobes and softer daylight. It was the quiet professional's chrome.
