Elite Chrome 100 was Kodak's consumer E-6 slide film, the amateur-market cousin of Ektachrome. It gave warm, vivid, contrasty transparencies at an accessible price and was hugely popular for projection before its discontinuation in the early 2010s.
Character & look
Elite Chrome rendered saturated, warm-leaning colour with punchy contrast and fine grain — a friendly, projector-pleasing look distinct from the more neutral professional Ektachrome. Reds and warm tones were flattered, making sunsets and skin glow. Like all slide films it demanded accurate exposure, but its results rewarded the effort with jewel-like slides.

Shooting & development tips
Expose carefully for the highlights and consider a slight overexposure for richer shadows. As discontinued stock it is best bought cold-stored; older rolls may show a warm or magenta shift, which some shooters actually enjoy.

Is Elite Chrome the same as Ektachrome?
They are related but distinct. Elite Chrome was Kodak's consumer slide line — warmer and more saturated — while Ektachrome was the professional, more neutral transparency film that Kodak still makes as E100.
Can I still buy Elite Chrome 100?
Only as expired stock. It was discontinued years ago; the current Kodak slide option is Ektachrome E100, which is more neutral than Elite Chrome's warm look.
